In all fairness they'd probably all be fine in a road bike. I use the exol as it was recommended to me by a couple of people, it also gets very positive reviews online.

I was looking at the KIPS spacers, do they make much of a difference?
And excuse me for sounding ignorant, do you need a spacer on both sides, or just on the left hand side?

That's a great tip about the idle adjustment, thanks! I fitted a new inlet rubber tonight and I'm also going to give the cables a lube tomorrow, hopefully it will sort it out.
