Hi all, I have recently purchased a 1986 import RD80LC. I have now bought a MK1 RD125LC frame as I intend to build a bike from the two. My question is, are the frames identical? They look it when comparing pics and its a bit of a horse has bolted question but any info would be appreciated, thank yo.

For future info, the rd80 frame has an extra engine mount to the 125 UK frame so it wont fit Sad

Can another mount be welded on and the frame painted ?
Doesn't sound like a show stopper to me?

Any pictures of what's needed ?

Its not insurmountable but as pointed out elsewhere, its a waste of a 125 frame really so I think I may just clean the 80 up.

A agree, the 125s are also becoming rare so it could be a waste..

To get a AR125 engine into a AR50 frame is going to need major surgery and although I have an abundance of 125 engines .. I'm really torn over killing the AR50..

Feel a KX80 engine may be on the cards instead..but then again want to keep the AR DNA... Hmmmmm, where's the disk cutter Surprised)

Think I will keep the 125 frame down the shed until I get time to do a build! Might be a while though......... anyway, here is the 80. Might be selling though as got my eye on another RG125F.
