Finally scored a YSR50 after years of looking, wanted an 80 but this will do. I wont have it for about 2 months yet so have plenty of time to research the thing. Where would I find a parts/ workshop manual.

Try these links:

You can view the entire manual without having to download it here:

www.scribd.com/doc/12154807/1987-YAMAHA-YSR-50T-Service-Manual

OR, if you would rather download one and keep it. You can go here:

This is still in Japan at the moment and should be in my shed in May sometime. There are some other pictures of it and it looks in reasonable shape .

Got my gag today and she is pretty tidy. I need to change the flasher unit and the horn but that's it to get it on the road legally. The battery is flat and dead too. Had a few runs around the car park at work and it goes well but the suspension is pretty bad but that's ok it adds to the excitement Smile I gave the carb a strip and clean and adjusted up the throttle cable. Someone painted the bike from the original red and the wheels etc are rough enough and there are a few brackets on there that are a bit questionable to say the least.
I am going to register this as soon as I get a chance and ride it for a bit before I think about a tidy up anyway and have a classic rally in mind to release the fury of the 50 Very Happy
