I have a box of used heads and barrels for AR125 and hopefully someone can help identify models.

Heads are marked 1 or 2 under the top engine stabiliser
Cylinders are marked either 1 or 2 and some are stamped A or B under the exhaust port.

Interestingly the cylinder marked 2 is stamped B and yet has a larger inlet transfer port than the cylinder marked 1 and A.

I say interesting as the restricted standard B model has barrel and head marked 1 on each

Hope this all makes sense

I have tried to load photos but failed miserably, may try again later.

Thanks for support

Thanks BenR
I'm not a technophobe but for some reason really struggled to get photobucket to work with the site.

Hopefully someone can offer some info into what the identifying markings mean, A or B models and perhaps the best combination to get the most out of the AR125 engine.

Thanks again

Hi NewGuy, great to have you here !!

Time goes by soooo quickly... Since that post I've sussed out the barrel types and have built / tuned / ported two AR engines myself, passed more than one to mick abbey for tuning / racing (who can talk for England but does a fantastic job) and have one top set with Two Stroke Institute in Oz to see if Lozza can beat what me and mick have come up with Very Happy

Unfortunately that means my box of good spare barrels is no more, sorry.
I do have a spare couple of heads and loads other bits...

Perhaps if your struggling this may be of some good on eBay, see:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KAWASAKI-AR-125-BARREL-AND-PISTON-KIT-/261100031910?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3ccac64fa6#ht_653wt_689

It's not the cheapest but does give you everything you need to rebuild your top end as long your head is ok.

If your radically porting / tuning then I would use a genuine kawasaki piston and rings rather than the pattern one in the kit. If your just doing a rebuild then it will be fine.

Post some pictures fella as we all like pictures..
It also makes people interested in the build and you will find everyone more interested and helpful.

Any AR questions...ask away

All the best. Thumbs Up
