Yesterday some thieving scumbag stole Decs bike ... It was only missing for aboit 6 hours and then we found it 20 miles away. Lucky for him it ran out of fuel and they left it down a private road in the middle of nowhere ..

It has been crashed badly on the offside, steering bent, clocks and front fairing missing, tail cover missing, front indicators and mirrors gone, ignition and steering lock broken and wiring loom cut etc.

Currently its with the police as they kindly left loads of fingerprints all over the tank and they want to get these so they can try to find the culprits.. (A few names have already been put forward, all local druggies ..imagine my suprise)

Decs completely devestated. I will rebuild it and sort it out as I have most of the parts already. I think he is a very very VERY lucky lad. If the Bstds knew the value of the wheels I'm sure it wouldn't have reappeared ...

Lesson learned? I hope so..... Don't leave the bike unsecured ( eapecially overnight at the front of a house in Shirebrook..grrrrrrr)

Hi Shaun,

thieving twats!

Please let us know if there are any parts that you don't have (unlikely but you never know), that may be in some of the boxes of bits that I have ,and I'll be happy to give 'em to you.

Hi Jack, not got any of the missing parts unfortunately.. I'm not concerned about broken ignition, missing from fairing, bent steering etc.. But its a real p*sser they ripped the clocks off. I have a spare set I can use but its a shame its lost its original mileage speedo so will keep a look out for some with similar mileage and go from there.

Funny, I was only saying to him a couple of weeks ago that bike theft seemed to be on the increase... I'm sure he won't leave it unsecured ever again !

Thanks Jim,

He's a very lucky boy.
He's going to have to help a bit more on this rebuild... That combined with not having transport for a while may do him good Wink

Wankers. You put a lot of time into the bike.
Anything I can help with give me a shout.
Your welcome to the fairing of my bike if it fits.

Mongrels!

At least you got it back which never happens here. They normally take what they need and chop up the rest of the evidence and dump it.
