Just acquired an lc 250. looking at what it's realistically worth.
1981 - german bike. Been age related number plate.
Very clean got chrome extras. Micron fork brace.
Bad bit - needs setting up.
Something with the left carb. Great for a few minutes then stops firing at higher revs.
Will post pics when on pc
Was thinking £2800. Maybe I'm miles off. Dunno?

From your pic it looks more or less standard. In which case it'll be of more interest to someone who wants an original one rather than a special. Rear mudguard looks intact (they always get cut or binned), still got the standard wheels, pipes, winkers, grab rail, footpegs etc. What will affect the value is whether it has matching chassis/engine numbers and whether the pipes and carbs are genuine 4L1.

Clutch cover, brake hoses and bellypan are obviously non-standard, and it's maybe been resprayed (the decals aren't quite right). The set-up problem doesn't sound like much of an issue. Some people aren't interested in 250's, only the 350 will do. Embarassed

LC values are all over the place. Some seem good bargains, some are ridiculous. If you want rid (and you should really consider keeping it and using it yourself Thumbs Up ) the best bet might be to post a pic and details on the LC Club facebook page to find out what it's worth.
