Another stroker to the collection.

This time its a Villiers 2 stroke powered 1957 Francis Barnett Falcon 74.

The 2 stroke smell and smoke was filling the garden this afternoon. Always good to get the neighbors involved. Hahaha.

That engine looks familiar,

Is it the same as the BSA Bantam/DKW rt engine?

I am not sure on that one. Villiers engines were used in many manufactures bikes.

I think it is a Villiers 10E series engine, Villiers motors were used by dozens of chassis manufacturers over the years. look similar to the BSA Bantam the design of which was lifted from the Germans (DKW). NASA did the same trick for rockets based on V2 technology through Werner Von Braun!

Many types of Villiers engines, in many makes of machines. It a 8e in this bike with a Albion 4 speed box. These old machines are a new learning curve for me.
I just have to stop myself from getting my grinders and files out on the ports Laughing Laughing
