They are saying they have an extra, low pressure cylinder into which exhaust gas passes from the regular 4 stroke process and extra energy is scavenged from. Does it get power after exactly 5 cycles though?

Just watched the video...

So the outer conventional 4-stroke cylinders exhaust in to the central low pressure cylinder every time it hits TDC? There's no firing stroke on the central cylinder, just the burnt gasses from the outer cylinders. How do the spent gasses get out of the central cylinder, is there a third valve that isn't shown in the video?

The exhaust from the central cylinder is critical as that exhaust gas drives the turbo charger.
