It runs, for the first time since Aug 2011 ! Laughing All I did was stick a splash of fresh fuel in and kick it over less than a dozen times. It has a couple of fuel leaks but I need to sort it front-to-back before I attempt an MOT anyway.

Youtube Proof

Washed 9 years worth of filth off the KR, then did some stocktaking. This is all leading somewhere, I promise... Wink

Ran the Yam TA replica first time for 2 years, second spin on rear wheel and we're away. Float heights are not right [I think] thus my post under 'technical'. Rebuilt the carbs but I have a suspicion that after market replacement float vales may be rubbish but need to check everything first.

Not especially today but over the past week I have put new chains on the TZR and NSR. The NSR recently had its wheels powder coated as the black looked just didnt seem right on there. So I had them done in white. While I was at it I fitted fresh Metzeler M7RR tyres ready for when the weather gets better.

The TZR arrived just over 2 weeks ago so all I have had time to do was clean it and fit the new chain and sprockets and sort out the fuel tap leak. The bike is a "survivor" I guess. Its totally original and still has the tyres fitted to it in 1995.

The TZR as it came...

Caswell epoxy tank liner is fine unless it gets chipped. Had to epoxy around the cap of the yam tank followed by pressure test in the bath ... the wife wondered why she heard pumping noises and me out of breath in the bathroom .....!

Hmmmmmm Eh?

Surely she would have thought you were merely pressure testing a tank?

Can't think of anything else that would leave someone out of breath in the bathroom Innocent

My wife was worried her NSR wouldn't pass the emissions test at next MOT, so I stuck a cat on it today.

Haven't had a lot of time since christmas but finally got my Kr1 out of the garage.
[img][/img]

It fired up after two dozen kicks & sounds spot on.
[img][/img]

After plenty of carb overflow problems I popped one of my spare tanks on & have had no worries since. It's a good job I don't care how my bikes look as long as they run Embarassed

One day I will give my favourite bike a paint job but do I want to look at it or ride it Eh?

Another pic

Went house-hunting again on Saturday. My favourite of the 3 we looked at had a 30'x40' double-height garage, with adjoining workshop, kitchen and man-cave complete with pool table, log-burner and massive TV. Think there was also a house included too, but that was of much less interest. Laughing

Bear in mind all my bikes, parts and tools are currently crammed into a single brick garage and leaky wooden shed...
