Or have you (as has been suggested) moved to other more specialist forums and clubs, that cater for the specific bikes you're into ?

Perhaps I'm in the minority but I love looking & reading about the diff'rent makes & models on DS, variety is the spice of life & all that.

I like the fact that on a forum you can read a whole build/own thread & easily come back to it at a later date. Facebook does not easily allow that.

I find Instagram is much friendlier/easier to use, thousands of pics but no waffle if you don't want to read it.

My absence has been due to a few factors. My work system now blocks access to DS, I guess they're using certain key words to decide which sites to block and have decided that being a "Different Stroker" is dodgy, so we can't get to the site any more.

Yes, I could log on at home, but as I already spend eight hours sat in front of a screen each day I'm reluctant to do even more of it.

The Photo Bucket thing really annoys me, over ten years of photo-heavy posts ruined by a "service" that we would have paid for if they hadn't been so greedy.

And I've moved house, so work on the new house has taken over for the moment. Bikes are jammed in the garage so tight I can't get to them. Sad

Finally, I don't see much of Tim anymore so we don't talk about what's going on everyday, and others at work don't share our interest.

I'll try to get on a little more often.

I try to log on as often as i can but as other have said it means firing the laptop up to see whats going on. I only look at this site and two stroke forum both really good sites.
DS was an absolute godsend for me when i got my SDR as two members already had one and had posted quite a few times about their bikes, also they helped out with technical questions when needed. As has been commented there are now a good few members with an SDR and this is the site that i look at to see what people are doing with theirs and how they are tackling problems and obtaining parts.

Hope it keeps going!

Basically go on too many forums and time limited. Hope you guys stay around as I tend to read more than post. Did a rideout with your guys 3-4 years back but not seen many such events since, Maybe I'll try and organise 1 Wink

Cheers fella's. Nice to see you're all still out there. Thumbs Up

Don't worry, we're not going anywhere, we were just curious why it had suddenly gone quiet.

Haggler : we loved it that so many of you turned up to that informal meet in a pub car park. We need to do more of those. As you say, anyone can arrange one, it just needs a couple of people to agree a time and place and then spread the word.

I'm not on Facebook and use forums. I am not a heavy user, but i'm not one to sit down all evening in front of a computer. Though as i work evenings, i can't do that if i wanted to. I hope the forum does not go, but i have no knowledge of running a forum.
I have no intention of going back to Facebook should the forum closes.
