Hi
New here, was just wondering how active this site is as most posts are from ages ago,

Hi Philymon. Welcome, and thanks for posting. Very Happy

Yep, it's pretty dead lately, the PhotoBucket fiasco killed it overnight, and some people prefer Facebook these days (we're on there too).

We hope it'll recover soon, but the only way that will happen is by the members posting and interacting.

So, on that note, please start telling us about yourself and your bikes, and if you've got questions to ask or advice to offer, that's even better. Laughing

I check in everyday, I spent an hour moving all my photos onto Imgur from the bucket, hoping others do the same...

Facebook has it's uses, family stuff & instant like/hit/fix etc but a lot of useful info soon disappears. This place had a fantastic archive, stuff which was not always of great interest too me, but I used love reading about what others were upto. I should really make a point of "liking"(Facebook style?) peoples posts.

Fingers crossed spring will see people feeling the love again. Love

Hello , I'm guilt of not moving any of my photobucket pics over , or setting up a new account on a site to host my pictures . I was planning on doing it over Christmas but didn't get around to it .
I'll pull my finger out and post pics of my new bike shortly.

Mike .

I can see the really big one. Very Happy

I'm not familiar with Imgur, it's difficult to derive the image filename (eg. https://i.imgur.com/zWQ33a4.jpg for your big R1Z) from the links.

It's even coming up here as a hyperlink even though I've not put the [url][/url] tags round it. Eh?

Have PhotoBucket come up with a more realistic charging scheme?

I quite understand why DS members have become disillusioned, I have. We worked hard to make this a photo-rich forum that was engaging to look at and have had the rug pulled from under us.

If PhotoBucket charges were more reasonable I'd pay a few quid to get my pictures back on, but $100 is way too much. Sad

Totally agree arlurt. I'm just hoping imgur do not start to apply charges for their service Pray
