Hello everyone,
I am in South Australia and am in need of a set of crank oil seals... 1983 WD Gamma 250.
Can anyone tell me where the best place to go to get them from would be? They do not have to be original Suzuki ones. Which store or internet shop do people recommend for this type of part?
All the best,
Graham

Graham,

Are the seals for the 1983 model the same as 1984? I have a parts catalogue for the 1984 model, but not 1983. If they are the same, the seals are still available from Suzuki, at a cost of about US$20-25 each:

LH seal 09283-25074, superseded by 09283-25080 (25-56-6)
Middle seal (2 reqd) 09289-33007, superseded by 09289-33008 (33.5-62-8 )
RH seal 09289-32001, superseded by 09289-32004 (32-62-8 )

If they are too expensive from your local Suzuki dealer, try one of the direct-from-Japan services offered by firms such as Megazip, J-Parts, Webike etc.

Regards,
James

I am rebuilding a mk1 at the moment and have been searching for seals.
i came accross web site for pjme last week there seals look to be cheap in comparison to other sites and made in Japan but not from Suzuki.
also you will be replacing the bearings you can get them much cheaper if you get them from a bearing supplier with out the pin.
if you have access to a mill or sturdy drill press you can drill the holes yourself with a carbide or cobolt drill.
I know some people have no access to these tools but if you do you can save your self a small fortune.
I have also discovered the 2mm thick crank pin thrust washer is no longer available from Suzuki and all the after market thrust wahers are the 1mm thick washers used on the rest of the crank IE there are 3 x 1mm washers
and 1 x 2mm washer used on the crank assembly.
