I enquired about getting mine done, and was told no, it cant. Sad

I cant see how the rusty looking ring would come off, if the spring was compressed....tho I do have a home made spring compressor at work, I'll have a look and let you know.

Hi Charlie,

You could try Brook Racing in Bradford (01274 414768) who told me he can rebuild the rear shock for an RG250 but said it would be expensive compared to buying a new aftermarket shock - could be worth a phone call though? Confused
I'm trying to find someone to make the exhaust can shrouds for my bike, did you have any joy with getting yours re-made?

Cheers, Rob.

On most other bikes there's a slot in the side of the spring seat so that with the spring compressed it just comes out over the damper rod.

Can't you compress the spring, cut off the existing spring seat, and then use one from something else to put it back together?
