I am currently restoring my MVX.

Still have a lot of stuff to do but I will keep everything updated as I go along.

Nice one Scotty - I almost didn't recognise it in blue! Good luck with the restoration - what colours are you going to choose, assuming it's going to go back to Honda colours?!

Yeah it looks a little different in the baby blue colour.

Im most likely going to restore it to the common red/blue/white as I already have a front fairing and rear fairing in that colour so will be easier - I could still change my mind though, I quite like the red/black colours.

Have stripped the bike back quite a bit tonight. It's pretty much good for cleaning everything now, which is what I'm stripping it down for. Not too worried about getting everything powdercoated etc as it's in pretty good condition at the moment - just dirty.

New photos:

Painted grab handles, battery box, kick lever. Cleaned Swingarm and engine, waiting till I manage to get the rear wheel off before I can polish that up. Thinking about taking some bits to get polished professionally.

Okay that was scary... I just hope I remember where everything goes, or the photos are good enough quality.

Fully down to frame now (minus wheel/swingarm/steering head - because i can't get the nuts off, I should probably buy the right tools to do it)

Will hope to get the rest off shortly then off to powder coating.

Anyone know the measurements of the swing arm bearings/part numbers? and the torque to tighten the swing arm bolts to?

Which side?

L/H takes two x 6203's available in any bearing store. Get 2RS type with the rubber seal on both sides.

The R/H side is a different matter as is a closed cup needle with a plastic cage 91071-KG4-003/4. (unobtainable) Its a standard size but not available that I have found in a closed cup. I used a std Honda bearing and made a plug for the inside of the swinging arm

Hope that helps
