I had the one Harry and ardon built for vovoid to fit in a frame a couple of years ago , it was a monster of a thing
I built an aircooled triple a long time ago , never got it to the point of running tho , couldn't get hold of a kh400 cdi at the time
Then sold it in a moment of weakness
Bloke stuck it in a sanders and lewis gt750 chassis then it disappeared
The frame turned up about ten years ago with an rd400 motor in it ,I went to see if they would sell it ,only to be told by the blokes wife that she scrapped it after he ran off with another woman

i wondered what had happened to that 4-cylinder motor that harry built its what mine is based on,but with a few of the niggles ironed out. did you run it? what was it like? did the output shaft hold, thats my biggest worry .bet you were gutted about the triple .what a waste cos harrys triple is awesome.

Far as I know it's still not running ,I modded a valvie frame for it
Made up different water take offs for it ,and some other stuff
Think steve had some time of work due to an injury and lost heart with it
Need to noise him up again

Would love to have one of my own , maybe one day

progress ,pictures ,rejoice ......
Cracked on with this a bit over the past week or so ,cinder sent me a seat
And it looks good ,got some other bits done ,and I'll tidy them up if they fit okay ,I hope to get some time over the holidays on it but you know how it is

so engine mounts done

foot rest plates done for a start , might need to move them later ,but for now the rgv footrest assemblies are fitted ,wil tidy them up and lighten them to
Reflect the lightening out on the frame ,I'll probably re-do the whole set up in time

headlamp brackets are lashed up for the moment

still need to tidy up the cliponns and clock bracket

rear calipers on
need to do a torque arm ,but no great issue

and the seats bolted on ,still some bits to do ,clinch nuts for the front mounts , but fitted and lined up

rear linkage and footrest plates for now

this is the front for now , tho i want to fit a tz faring so the clocks will go but thats phase 2 ish

hope you like it , i looks nice in the metal good for a lash up

so its on its wheels (sortof)

quite happy with it so far , thought id mock up a pipe on it , this ones off my lc , have a pair of swarbricks and a pair of lomas ones but they need a bit of welding so will see later on about that
sitting on it it fits well footrests comfy but high enough ,bars feel just right too
gonna take the belt sander to the seat tomorrow and get it better fitting ,still a wee bit squint
better start finding the bits for the motor soon

whatch think

Glad your enjoying it mate
You should get on with yours
Plan on one hour a day in the garage and one task
Don't always work out but but gives you a direction on the build
Had an hour yesterday and machined some bolts and raked out some radiator hoses

Today raked out a clutch and side casing ,tomorrow I hope to tart up the clutch pressure plate so it looks good thru the windowed casing
Little and often
But wel see

Next choice , 250 or 350 top end ....?
