Well decided I couldn't put up with the blowing front expansion chamber Any more so it was time to replace it..

Took the old spanny off and set about fitting the new one.. Easy job..

Something to watch out for though .. the KMX200 barrel exhaust outlet is bigger than the exhaust ring you get in the standard gasket kits so you need a larger one. This needs to mate to the exhaust clamp which again is bigger on the 200 than the 125. The ring I needed was 40mm internal, the one in the gasket set was 35mm internal diameter. Nothing exhaust sealer couldn't sort out with the old ring..

Fitted new chamber and exhaust to my existing DEP silencer, nice heat resistant sealing rubber joint... It must think its a birthday because I've always just used exhaust silicon in the past and bodged this joint. Careful shaun, your starting to do things right...

Next up had off the KIPS boost chamber and gave it a good clean, refitted the boost chamber spacer for better low down power and pick up..

Ready to go out for a blast to try her out..

On to some lanes and whey hey it's running absolutely fantastic ..
Plenty of grunt and smooth power right up to the red line.

Much easier to ride than my tuned AR's ...
Happy days Old Man Cool

Ah thanks fletch .. The pictures are very kind, it's not as clean as it could be. Washes up pretty good with the ptfe stuff on it.
I used it over winter and that finally killed the old exhaust behind the front wheel. Couldn't be arsed to weld it up as it was thinning and rusty. Too many holed socks Smile

Needs a new chain now too.. One for another day

Looking really nice. I found the boost bottle mod really improves the bottom end grunt on mine.

I got my KMX200 MoTed at the weekend, failed on the rear wheel bearings. Once I cleaned out all the curry sauce from the rear hub and fitted new sealed bearings it passed.

I got a new chain last month, made a huge difference as I could play cats-cradle with the old one.

I've got a GPZ500S for commuting now though, so the old girl is up for sale. Anyone interested? I am going to stick an advert up when I have sorted out the list of spares I have to go with it.
