A localsign company, J D'signs, did the decals, they have them all drawn up now so have them on file and can cut them for you in any colour you wish, pretty reasonably priced too Very Happy

No way? I used to go to school with the owner.

Putting two and two together, are you Thomas Fletcher?

Steering Damper fitted today

Fits OK but on righthanders will stick in to my knee, just means i will have to hang off the bike all the time Laughing
Took the damper back off ready for the MOT, it may restrict the righthand steering lock slightly, don't think MOT man will like that Wink

Still not got a fuel tap, broke the pattern one i bought then to replace it bought a pitbike fuel tap, holes correctly spaced but body too short so wont fit Confused Looks like I will have to order genuine tap from cmsnl but that will take nearly 2weeks to arrive Confused I just want to get MOT'd so i can ride it Sad

Be careful with the fuel tap.

I bought a new one for mine from Yamaha. The original part number as been superseded, and Yamaha list a different one for them now. Unfortunately the one they list now doesn't fit (too long so not enough space between the tank and frame

All the best

Hi

I managed to clean up my original one and use that.

From memory it might be possible to modify the new one to fit. Think there is a sediment bowl on the bottom of the tap. Might be possible to machine up a plug instead and gain 5mm or so of clearance.

All the best

Keith

The fuel tap turned up end of the week

So today i had a go at fitting it

It fits a fine Very Happy
Was able to fire her up for first time in ages, let it get up to temperature and check for fluid leaks etc, even took it for a rip round the garden Very Happy Laughing
Also fitted new number plate

It looks blooming HUGE!!
So am gonna fit this one after the MOT Wink

Think that looks bit better Very Happy
Am all ready for the MOT now, hopefully get that done this coming weekend, work permitting,
The MOT tester is looking forward to it as i've promised him a go on it Laughing
