There hasn't been too many weekends this year which have coincided with not working and decent weather, but Saturday ticked both boxes... although it was cold enough to freeze the nuts off a brass monkey!

Never mind, I wasn't going to miss the opportunity for what could be the last thrash of the year - I just had to plan my route to visit various friends for a cuppa and to thaw out Laughing

Fast open A roads, decent B roads and dual carriageways were fantastic, but towns and traffic were one step away from tedious - but 70+ miles and a few cuppas later I was back home, and praying I'd get the feeling back in my hands and feet! Very Happy

Here's a couple of pix from my last stop....

Having been lucky enough to blag a go on this very bike a couple of months ago, my opinion is even more polarised than that.

Above 40mph, it's easily the best thing I've ever ridden - perfect riding position, brilliant handling and a fantastic engine. Sounds ace too.

But pulling away from a standstill or chugging along in traffic, you'd happily swap it for an old lady's mobility scooter. It's almost unrideable, or maybe that's just me. It's like my 3MA in that I'd always be planning my ride to avoid any kind of traffic or the need to stop anywhere.

Typically for me, it's flaws just make me want it even more though. Wink

Having seen it in the flesh, the photos can't do it justice.

It's going to take you until spring to get it as beautifully sparkling as it was before the grotty roads took their toll.
