Hi Cal,

I'm pleased to hear you're making progress. Remember, slow and steady wins the race!

I've got all sorts of stuff coming through the post from eBay at the moment. A set of Kawasai decals for a more appropriate colour scheme, some nice indicators, paint, a rear shock that's got oil in it. I've already got the CBR125 clutch lever, front brake master cylinder and calliper, the bracket to fasten the calliper to the kawasaki fork leg is well underway. I have a Yamaha floating rotor front brake disk to go with the Honda calliper, the disk needs a spacer making to fasten it to the Kawasaki wheel. The whole lot is half the weight of the Kawasaki disk alone.

New tyres and tubes have been fitted to the cleaned up wheels. the wiring loom is just a bundle of loose wires at the moment so I've got that to sort out.

My aim is to get it tidied up, not restored, working, and legal. Then I'll decide what the bike's future is with me. I've got three other bikes in the garage at home, and no space for a fourth. I could continue to keep it at my dad's but the storage conditions aren't ideal, which partly why it got to be in so much of a mess to start with. Or I could move it on. I probably won't decidie until I've ridden it.

I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your KH, and seeing how you get on, to try and keep me motivated!

Still can't seem to get this to work.

On your PB page on the right you have a list of 4 share links . Click on the bottom one (IMG) and it will say copied, now paste that straight into your post hope this helps Very Happy

They're pretty racey handlebars, but the rest of the bike looks really standard. That must be a great start point for a proper restoration. Did you say it was siezed? Have you managed to free it off. Looking as complete as it does can you at least get it running before you plunge in an strip it down?

My bike was non-standard when it came to me so I don't feel too guilty about messing about with it. I'm waiting for parts and paint at the moment. FRont brake mod is coming on, calliper bracket nearly done, once that that's right I'll make the spacer to fasten the disk to the hub.

Thanks for the feedback.
The bike is nearly standard apart from the bars and shortened indicator stalks on the front, oh and no side panels.
It isn't turning over.
LHS and centre pot are stuck so I will be applying a wide and varied selection of penetrating oils and cleaners.
If that doesn't work compressed air.
The original plan was to get it running then do it up.
Some of it is really tidy, some less so.

I will try and get some more pics to load.

A bit of progress to report...

I've got the wheels wheels cleaned up and new tyres fitted. Most of my time in the last few days has been taken up making an alloy spacer to carry the 6-bolt Yamaha 3MA brake disk on the right-side of the 4-bolt KH250 front wheel hub.

The cover that used to hide the previously unused right hand disk mount moves to the left side of the hub.

The left fork leg moves to the right side of the bike, with a a bracket to fasten the Honda calliper on the back of fork leg.

I've got my decals ready for the colour change back to white, but with KH125 decals from an early 80's bike.

I'm on to body work at the moment, repairing cracks in the side covers, then prep and paint the tank, side panels, mudguard and tail piece. Decals next, then lacquer. Anyone got any tips on applying decals and lacquer...?
