Nice. Cool Always liked those. Tempted to buy one new a long time ago, but they were almost as much as a GSX-R750 so that's where my money went.

Get it out in the snow and have some fun ! Laughing

Hi

Had a test ride one on when they were new. It was at an IMOC track day at Cadwell Park and I took it for a couple of mile spin up the road. Lovely bike to ride.

Make sure you change the cam belt.

From memory the weak point of the engine is the starter clutch. Apparently can be repaired using the spring from a fork seal

All the best

Keith

as im in a lul waiting for the other bits to be powder coated,i thought i'd have a go at the bodywork, the biggest proble is the headlight fairing missing its bottom part which includes the adjuster.
started by q bonding a peice of scrap alloy across the gap

bit more q bond to fill the gaps

i made a basic headlight adjuster and bonded it the the headlight and fairing

a bit of filler

some rubbing down and a light spattering of primer

still needs a bit more prep work but it'll look fine when painted Very Happy

after an unfortunate disaster(your not suppost to mix 2 pac hardner with base coat paint........it makes the lacquer go crinckly !,i'm slowly learning the dark art of painting Rolling Eyes )
i've started again and finally managed to get a reasonable finish on the panels.
