Hi
if I've done it right here are a few pics of my R1-Z which is about 95% complete. Bought from Tom Mac a year or so back (who did all the hard work on the chassis - & who tells me the owner before him rebuilt the engine & was/is an employee of Webbs Yamaha) - so all I've had to do is have the paint done (KAS racepaint in Kettering) & rebuild the clocks (thanks for spare set Tom). Just a few bits from pro-bolt needed, & the pipes will be resprayed soon. MOT next week hopefully then back on the road buzzing the 4 strokes around Northants.........

Cheers Tom
started her up today (first time in 6 months) - little bugger still takes 30 or so kicks but after the mot i'll try to sort that out. Don't mind replacing the plugs/battery etc but its years since I dabbled with carbs so may leave that for someone else.
Must find out how to import the pictures in a larger size - those pics don't do it justice at all.

That looks really nice, doing a non standard paint job on mine soon, not sure how it's going to turn out, if it looks half as nice as yours I'll be happy.
Was gonna ask for some bigger pics Thumbs Up

Cheers - KAS did a great job - we wanted to make the tail end look less heavy & do an interpretation of the old speedblock & it's worked out well. Some idiot forgot to remove the side panels around the headstock though before he put it into winter storage! - so that has to be done. All new colour matched panel fixings are on now. Might have the seat recovered next winter. Clock mph faces were from Simon Wells via ebay. Look forward to seeing yours soon.

Cheers mate - as you're in Northants perhaps you should drop yours into KAS, give them a blank cheque, mention Mick Grant & see what comes out a few months later............ Thumbs Up

Hi Guys n Gals (?)
see that red & white R1-Z on this thread? That's probably going to be for sale soon that is. If you are interested send me a pm & i'll let you have the details. I can't justify having 2 bikes even though I promised myself I would keep her - but I have to get something that will keep up with my mates Aprilia Dorsoduro, & the wife wants a convertible..........
There will be tears at bedtime when she goes (no, not the wife) - but i'd rather have one of you guys who knows what they are doing & appreciates gems like this take her on & make a very good bike into a pearler.
Go on - make me an offer - you know you want to,
Crybaby
