I'm on the lookout for some parts which seem to be hard to find, knew that before I bought it but couldn't resist.
Looking for complete headlight, fairing, indicator and bracket as its all missing from mine, also could do with a decent tank.
Bike runs but fuel is pouring out overflow on left carb, may be float height?
Any help would be much appreciated👍

I got a some good used MVX parts from Japan, including the optional seat cowl and radiator guards. Have a look on Yahoo Auctions Japan.

Complete fairing/headlamp/screen/indicators ! Cool

A lot of Yahoo Auctions Japan sellers will only deal with and ship to domestic buyers. There are various 'middlemen' services based there that exist to enable foreigners like us to get our hands on this stuff. You register with them, they act as a proxy bidder/buyer and when they receive the items they then send 'em on to you. Obviously they don't do this for free...

I started doing this 8 years ago, via FromJapan. I've never had any problems with it and have had many exciting boxes arrive over the years. In all cases, I was browsing Yahoo Auctions Japan myself, hunting down and identifying the items I wanted. FromJapan were simply doing the proxy bidding and onward shipping for me, they weren't helping me find stuff or understand what I was looking at. Start poking around the auctions looking for stuff you want, you'll get used to how to search for things and what the pages are telling you.

I can't read much Japanese but it wasn't a hindrance. Translation technology has moved on a lot since then and some of the sellers are more switched on to foreign buyers too. I think these middlemen will also now help you look for items in the first place if you can describe what you want. Probably worth checking online to see which services people recommend these days, I've not used FJ for a couple of years. At the risk of generalising, it's fair to say that the Japanese are a much more honest and helpful bunch than your average Ebay seller. Wink

If all that still sounds too scary, there's an ex-pat Brit living over there who will do all this for you, assuming you want enough stuff to make it worth his while. He's called Drew Jonsen and he operates under the name Moriwaki Man and/or Unobtanium. Google him, he's also on Facebook and in fact he's also on here though I don't know if he logs on these days. I've had a few packages via him too and can recommend him.

Either way, expect to pay the item price, domestic shipping, commission fees, international shipping, exchange-rate charges, import duty and ParcelFarce admin fee. But you'll get some cool stuff you won't find anywhere else. Cool

Hi Bran,

Great to see the MVX - looks pretty good, and the same colours as mine Smile

I'm afraid I don't have any spares, but you should send a PM to Mr FFF as he knows the MVX specialist on here! Alistair is also well up on his Hondas and recommends https://www.rinkya.com/en/ to buying stuff from Japan

Here's a link to MVX bits on Yahoo auctions: http://auctions.search.yahoo.co.jp/search?p=mvx&auccat=0&alocale=0jp&acc=jp

Good luck with it and keep us updated Smile
