Hello

I'm currently planning on tuning the mbx 80cc (HC04E) motor, has anybody had any experience with the big bore kits ect??

I see there's a few kits for the engine but I'm unsure which way to go with it?

Any advice would be sweet right about now Smile

Cheers

Josh

A friend of mine has a liquid cooled nsr 50 engine sitting about if you fancy an engine swap? Depends how mad you want to go, could try a honda h100 engine or even a cr 80 for real madness

I'm taking a liquid cooled Nsr 50 out Smile

I have the Nsr 50 gag bike and I'm looking for more power.

I managed to grab a cheap mbx 80 engine but I want to big bore it before refitting.

I would love to use the cr80 engine but I've got no engineering skills Smile

The mbx 80 share the same mounts so its a bit easier ( hopefuly )

Get a set of cr cases from ebay or even a non running engine, you can always sell it again and if you carefull you will get your money back, offer it up and make some mock brackets from card (cornflakes is good!) And see if you can mount to the original engine mounts so you can go back to standard if you want, only really need to make sure the chain nearly lines up, you can always space the rear sprocket to get a final fit,
But if thats the case I would be on the lookout for a complete but tatty nsr 125 that way you get the loom too and a good increase in power!
As I say if you dont modify the frame you can always go back again but it cant hurt to have a go, its very satisfying when it all starts coming together im just finishing up a tzr 125 into a ysr
