Why did i do it again? Brought another bike. Been saving to build a new shed/workshop and then spent some of the cash on yet another bike. I must stop.
This time its a Yamaha IT465, in from the USA. Doesn't look too pretty but its not to bad when you look past the rough plastics. Need to get it registered and let it put a big grin on my face. Laughing [/b]

I managed to get the picture off my phone. No more pictures as its been persisting it down all day. It needs a proper headlight and side plastics.

Love it Smile Are you going to do a resto thread?? Keep looking at these myself, wimped out on a 490 a while ago.
Used to run a 465 on the road, and never ridden anything so quick off the mark (at the time) and wheelies everywhere.
Did you get to test ride it, as a few I looked at ''wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding'' in first, a good'un will loop itself instantly as you probably know......

Not really in to restorations. I will clean it up. New side panels, seat cover and headlight. I think i have got an original front pipe coming my way. Just hunting for the correct tank as i think they look better.
It will get ridden and not be scared of getting dirty.
Not had chance to ride it but engine rebuilds are no issue for me to do.

Me neither Andy.

Its a good looking bike mate, I think the tank looks good, I would never have known it wasn't correct for the bike.

I think Practical sportsbikes mag did an item on the IT a few months back, can't remember which model though

You will all probably shoot me for saying this but iv been eyeing up similiar bikes recently with the intention of an usd front end and some sticky tyres and 17 inch wheels i think it would be a blast like that on the road!

Not at all GP,

I think making a bike to suit your needs/tastes is what its all about.

I'm not a purist, when it comes to bikes its all about personal taste Dance

I will have to look up the practical sports bike mag. I'm not a purist but the 17" wheels are not my thing. Just seen a picture on Facebook of a jacked up, small wheeled XT500. I really did not like it. It seemed like turning a beautiful car into a Nissan Micra body on a Toyota high lux chassis. Hehehe. But each to there own.
