just swapped my engine over and now have no spark .there appears to be a red/white wire on the original engine that plugs into the wiring harness on the bike but that wire is missing from the nsr75 engine . i am thinking it is possibly for the speed restriction pulse as it comes from the bottom of the engine . any ideas ?

sussed out what the no spark problem was.
no output from the magneto wires to the cdi .swapped over the complete unit from the original engine and it now runs.
happy bunny.

To be honest i have not ridden it yet as i have had the cylinder worked on to get some more power out of it by mick abbey tuning .
it has still got the standard 80cc jets in the carb and a standard 80cc exhaust .
i am waiting for mick to be able to get the complete bike into his place so he can make an exhaust to suit the engine work he has done and set it up on his rolling road . I have not gone for a balls out power screamer of an engine but one that gives its power lower down the rev range .
The bike is now mot'd on the chassis number and i have hopefully all the documents now to send to dvla to get it registered .
I am just a bit apprehensive about the fact i am advising dvla of an engine change at the same time as trying to get it registered.
