Been looking at tires, I normally use Bridgestone BT 45 but looks like they are not available in sdr sizes , looks like its going to be Dunlop. Anyway will be loading up the R1Z tommorow of to Cadwell, and leaving the sdr tank to do its stuff. Maybe see you there.

After weeks of cleaning the tank out I finally took the sdr for a spin around the block and it wasn't to bad, still needs another carb clean, brakes freeing off and a battery and, and, and the list goes on, Oh I spotted cameraman as I set of for Cadwell on the Friday on his CCM. Nice.

I am just doing the work for the mot at the moment,so new tyres, strip brake calipers, new battery, and carb jets. The wheels were quite bad so I sand blasted them and etch primed them, finished off with wheel silver and laquer.Booked in for mot this sat.

Sdr now mot'd.but still had problem with rust in the tank. I took the tank to work stuck a high-pressure power wash in it,that seems to have got the last bit out. Had a problem with new float needle from yam bits, it would not seat and the carb would drip when engine running and also on prime when not. So I put the 30 year old one back and works OK!!!
Just sending paper work off to DVLA for reg no,let's see how long this takes.

Thats looking good now, I always liked them in red.

Nice job on the wheels too. I have found yambits supplied me with total rubbish - others seem happy so buyer beware - genuine cant be faulted apart from the serious price.

If the AR and KR go well together then so does the sdr and r1z.

Went to work on the sdr today on its new reg and it broke down 4 times in 6 miles. Luckily I fitted a inline fuel filter which I could easily get to, I had to clean it out each time, think the engine vibs is shaking more rust free. Sad

POR 15 is your expensive solution.

I do all my bikes with it, 10 years in the TDR and its still perfect Very Happy

5 years in the SDR and no issues.
