I cant speak for the others, Arlurt, but I'd be happy to read about the Triumph Spitfire Resto.....your membership I would imagine is now a lifelong affair as far as Strokers goes.....2 smoke or not!

Hi Crofty,

Thanks for your comments, I do have plans to follow in Strokerboy's smokey trail once again, but have so far been thwarted by logistics and my lack of organisational ability.

There is still work to do with the 3XV yet, a large pile of spares to be sorted in to eBay lots, photographed, described, listed, packed and shipped. Not to mention the handling of daft eBayer questions.

I'm getting used to the 3XV sized space in the garage, but hope to have something there before too much longer.

What ever it is will pop up on here as a lesson to anyone tepted by the thought of a two-stroke. Very Happy

I was told I'd be thrown off the site if I didn't get my act together and buy another proper "Diff'rent Stroker", so here we go...

I'll start up a new thread when I figure out what it is that I've gone and done now. Laughing

Adam's SDR! He did a good job of restoring that - and Martin77 did a bit of portiing and made the pipe for it, so it's pretty fit. Quick vid clip of Martin running it around Cadwell here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ap_7E2_6bg

Erm, a bit er small for you though innit? Quite vibey little buggers too. Watch out for SDR-induced whitefinger... Wink .

Big for it? Nah, I'm not that tall. Or did you have another dimension in mind...?

Lol. No, not at all! I just don't recall you being quite the ideal pint-sized whippet jockey when we met Embarassed . Don't worry about it. It's a cracking little bike and will doubtless be far more easy-to-live-with than the 3XV; I hope you thoroughly enjoy it Very Happy . I find them a bit too small myself, but I almost broke my stroker habit recently and bought one of it's bigger brother SRX400s. Sanity prevailed thankfully though and I put the money towards future stroker rebuilds instead... Laughing .

I am aware that there's more of me than there used to be, but my significant beer investment has to be stored somewhere!

On the plus side, there's no way I could knock a stone off the weight of the SDR, but achieving that reduction on the combined weight is very possible, if unlikely... Laughing

My old 3XV has changed owners again, and still lookin' good! Congratulations to the new owner, hope I can help you out with a few parts and the odd word of history if you need it.

Good luck and have fun with it. Very Happy
