Can we also ban new members who only post on the forum because they want some wheels Bang Head

A simple 'hello' goes a long way.......rather than - 'I want wheels', as a first post.

I think its just plain rude to demand wheels on a first post Nono

If you were talking to an attractive girl in a bar, you wouldn't just jump in with 'get em out then love' would you? You would introduce yourself, talk about your likes & dislikes, buy the girl a drink then offer her outside so you could have a butchers at her wheels.

Especially if they were AR wheels Laughing

We've deleted 125 members this morning. All of 'em had registered on here somewhere between Dec 2006 and Jan 2010 but not found a single thing to say in all that time. So you won't miss 'em. Very Happy

We've also tightened up access slightly, so you'll need to be logged in now (and therefore a registered member) in order to read some of the sections. Previously that was limited to just the For Sale / Wanted areas.

That's not the end of it - there are still 150 zero-posters hovering in the cross-hairs and we'll probably restrict access to most of the other areas shortly too.

Grateful thanks to the 525 of you who have contributed at least one post to this place, without your input this forum is nothing. Thumbs Up

That's the spirit!! Laughing

Feels like we're just one step away from the introducing the friendly rule of 'say hello and continue to enjoy the forum' and helping all new DS users find new purpose in life!

Or maybe I'm overrating it! Very Happy

what we do is every day the birthdays show up on the forum and every day the mods click on them and if they have not loged on in the last 12 months they are deleated. so we deleat a couple every day.

The way i see it if you havent loged in a year then your not realy member so wont mined being deleated. it keep the member count the same as people come and we deleat people. we did a mass deleat some 4 or 5 years back of all 0 posters that were members for then on we do the birthday thing by the end of the year there was no members that hadent at leat loged on.

May be a good idea for hear.

Some people like to look and read stuff but arnt realy posters and dont contribute to the forum , Id sooner they did but i dont mined if they dont. So long as they get something from the forum thats fine by me so its a log on thing we do now not a 0 post thing. something to think about as not every one like to post but still enjoy reading stuff on the forum and may recoment it to others who will come on and post.

I don't post much but it has got to be said not much changes on the site day to day. No ride outs, build stories events. How can people be expected to post if there is nothing to comment on. Fine if you want to remove people but it is hardly friendly. I thought when you ran your ride out the other month it might be the start of something but it seems to have gone quite quiet on here (Just my opinion not an attack on anyone ) Wave

I know what you need I took loads of pics and did a vid of that and it got No reply's at all. But leading up to the ride the topic had a lot of interest . I do try to fined stuff to comment on but fined it hard some times. If I can comment I do as any comment at all could lead to a reply and so on . some times you just have to get the ball rolling .
