Hello again,
I thought while everyone ransacked their sheds looking for an old worn crankshaft from my previous post. I would add a little info. I bought my MVX 250 in 2015 for my wife to ride, as she found it far more comfortable than our MC28. After a couple of years it lost compression on the middle cylinder and got sidelined for a bit whilst I searched for parts. I eventually obtained a set of .25 oversize pistons, rings and gaskets from a chap in Rochdale. I had the cylinders rebored locally at Lee Brothers in Sowerby Bridge. It was back on the road in time for the 2 stroke rally at Squires in 2020. Whilst it was off the road I found a NS250F in good running order with a bit of crash damage on Ebay for a grand.
A quick overhaul, and some subframe straightening, saw it UK registered in 2018. It's tatty but usable with a very strong engine indeed. It's obviously been loved previously and already had linear fork springs and a very good standard shock. I've never seen another F model on the road, or an MVX for that matter.
Pictured are both bikes at Squires in 2020. (I hope)
