After looking for a mk1 or 2 for ages, 4 turn up in various conditions on e-bay within a couple of weeks of each other!
After seeing Pete's on the Bristol show page, it made me want one even more.
Decided to get the cleanest and most original I could afford. Held out on my favourite, although I did pay more than I really wanted Rolling Eyes

Jap import came in to the country in 1996. About 11,500 miles, (still on kph speedo) All bits seem to be there apart from anti dive system. Some minor marks on panels and minor lacquer lift, but pretty good for 25 year old bike.

Previous owner ran it on castrol R oil. Good for premix, but not off the pump I have found. Will have to flush out and refill with my usual Motul synthetic. Runs lovely and quiet until plugs soot up.

Any support, bits, books, brochures gratefully received!

Let me know if there's anything I can help with [I posted some help on the books side on the RGV site] but I think you've got the best example I've seen.

If it helps I think you've saved money in the long run as the price of bits on ebay for bodywork is nutty!

Any particular bits you are looking for?

that's very nice, i'm a bit jealous.

given the sudden increase in prices of RG parts i'm glad i've got an almost complete spare set of bodywork for my mk2 based yammagamma.

Embarassed Finally found time to change the spark plugs
Found 1 right one and 1 wrong one fitted Shocked
Now new ones are fitted, it starts first kick hot or cold, with no fouling.
Now need to sort 2 stroke oil flush and change, check pump setting
and change gearbox oil.
Watch this space, but maybe not too often Wink

No idea Geoff, have yet to buy anything other than plugs for mine!
Have you tried your local Suzuki dealer, or maybe one of the grey importers such as fastline superbikes

LOL...I remember building one back in 84'ish and having to modify the LH fork to change it to UK spec to match my real one!
They also did the red 'special equipment' one with the single seat hump and belly pan which for years I'd thought was just a Tamiya imagination Embarassed

My current Gamma was originally a JDM red model and has now got blue body work with the hump and belly pan Very Happy I've got the 'normal' kit but am now on the look out for the "SE" version to build a model of my bike as it looks now!

OK...

Assuming you can find the image url in photobucket [if I remember they make it quite obvious...but its a long time since I've used them] copy it

Then come here, start a message and then go

alt-p ["alt" key and "p" held down together]
ctrl-v ["ctrl" key and "v" held down together]
alt-p [as first]

You should end up with something that looks like
'' but without the quotes and a lot longer!

It may not work if your 'caps lock' key really is stuck on Very Happy

I built one real rubber tyres, and vinyl tubing for cables and hoses, even had a spring to fit on the rear shock? The fact that the disks didn't have holes all the way thru bugged me. Great quality kit. They do a Walter Wolf Mklll, I been trying to find a UK spec decal kit.......

Anyone interested in a NOS swing arm for a Mk l Gamma? Be going on ebay soon if no one makes an offer.
