Hi all
Well i wondered how long it would last with me at the controls......
There i was doing 80-85mph , i rolled off the throttle and the back wheel locked up.
Cause the engine had seized solid , it had heat seized...

After waiting 10 mins to let it cool down the bike kicked started in to life which surprized me.

So iv been on the phone to STAN STEVENS and am going to have the whole engine rebuilt.

Bad luck Paul, I know just how it feels... Sad

Are you going to have any mods done while Stan's got it?

Hi ya
Well i rang stan stevens and told him what happened....

He worked out that it will cost me about £400 for a rebuild + rebore...

I do hope that its not on its last rebore size , but im sure some clever person can possibly re sleve the barrel.

I will NOT have any tuning done as i wish to keep it as reliable as possible.

The last 2 stroke i had was a RGV250 which i loved , But the standard engine and the blueprinted engine with bob farnham modded exhaust pipes let me down a few times , mostly when i was flat out racing any thing that was up for a blast...

Then i found out why my headlight was playing up , there are lots of this sort if thing all over the bike (wires twisted together by hand with tape round them)....
I soldered a 2nd hand head light connector that i got from silverlake scrap yard , so now its perfect.

Give P J Engineering a shout for a rebuild price. Be useful for comparison, they were cheaper for mine, and were awesome to deal with.
