Slowly but surely the rebuild carries on with the reed blocks and carbs.

Carb parts and case screws back from being BZP and black zinc plating

Carbs before I started

And part way through the restoration

As you can see they are looking good.

If anyone wants the same to thier own carbs, ie total strip, ultra-sonic cleaning, parts and re-plating as required them please PM

Been busy in the shed recently

It runs and sounds absolutley great. A new crank, pistons and rings make all the difference

I have NOS Tank, Sidepanels and tail unit, front wheel to fit, and the rear wheel to finish plus the fairing and front mudguard to get painted and it could be finished before the summer is over

OK Guys

Its now getting close, so here are some pics of progress to date

And I make no apologies for using NOS parts where possible (front wheel)

Left to do is the rear wheel, assemble the front end - ie wheel and brake , seat re-covered and get the fairing and a NOS front guard painted the correct colour to match the NOS side panels and tank

I'm aiming for the middle of September, but apparantly there is some sport going on in London in three weeks time, and my part in the telecomms may take up a bit of my time over the next couple of months

The bench looks a mess because it is, but I know where everything is once I find it

Front brake plate and fork leg showing ceramic coating

If it wasn't for the flat screen in the background I'd be saying it was a photo from back in the day.

Very very nice. You should put it in for some shows before riding it on the road takes it's toll.

I have no interest in shows. I lost my anorak a few years ago and will not get another. The bike has too much stainless for one one thing in the way of fasteners.

However I would be keen to see it on the strokers stand at Stafford in October
