A few weeks ago I spent the weekend at classic bike race. There where a few 2strokes, heres some pic's of them.
Ariel Arrows from the late 60s.
BSA Bantams, around late 50s to 60. The bottom one has been moded with water cooling.
Benelli's, from 70's I think. Made in Italy.
BSL, New Zealand made 500GP bike. Did a couple years at the end of the 2stroke GP era.
Bultaco's. Spanish made bikes.
Harley RR250 GP bike. HD owned Italian Aermacchi for awhile so it could go racing in the 60s-70s.
Dot. English made from 60s-early 70s I think?
Scott 500 from late 20s early 30s.

Added a brief description. It took a major effort to add just the pic's the other day
We have alot of old bikes here in New Zealand. They where brought here at the end of there competitive over sea's life for cheap racing here, then during the war in the UK-US alot of old bikes got melted down to make tanks. |
