(not today, last week)
Bought one of those plastic self-assembly garden store cupboards and re-roofed the leaky old garden shed.
What's that got to do with anything ? Well, all the garden tools have now been moved to the new cupboard, freeing up space in the shed for another one of my KR250's and the KS-II. Which means there's now space in the garage for something else...
(I was gonna post a pic of the plastic cupboard with a Gag in it, just for a laugh, but couldn't get any of 'em to fit ) |

I wheeled mine out of the garage and then back in. and then moved the box containing the engine
the rear caliper went off to be blasted, powdercoated and rebuilt yesterday so some progress has been made.... _________________ my TDRs from over the years:

Filled the tanks up, added some gas stabilizer, pulled the batteries and put them in the shed for the winter |

Going to get a cover for Dec's AR today and some nice shiny new L plates... Yep another AR125 is destined to be a 17yo thrash machine from Xmas day, just as Kawasaki intended back in the 80s..
All his mates will wonder what the hell it is.... As he passes most of them on their boring 4 strokes (oh ummm and catch him up when he breaks down.. Haha)...
Glad I'm not 17 again, the benefit of years would do me no good at all _________________ We are where we are... |

Red line abuse to the café on the coast lunchtime, swopped with my mate and committed red line abuse on his Armstrong back home ... but is deserved it ... then got a long stare from a fluorescent "Officer of the lieu" standing on my street .... guessing he don't like two strokes too much _________________ If it don't ring-a-ding-ding it ain't worth a thing |

Polishing scratches out of a plastic screen is no fun..
Takes absolutely ages and the work top looks more like a chemistry set..
I'm sure one of you can provide a few blue peter tips, however until then... Another 10 goes with the finer polish and i will have had enough..(should be A OK)
I can understand why people just buy a new screen..

Regarding removing Perspex scratches, when my son worked on vintage aircraft restorations He used a kind of super-fine wet and dry that looked transparent just like grease proof paper. Still took days of elbow grease but like new .... _________________ If it don't ring-a-ding-ding it ain't worth a thing |

Sorted a leaking oil pump today.. It's a good job I've got a shed full of engines as the part is NLA.. It's a familiar story with the old ARs now... Some parts are becoming very very rare..
Either prices will go up, or they will all get broken for spares... Or perhaps both.. Until their are only two left in the whole world. By that time it won't be my problem ) _________________ We are where we are... |
