iv just taken the head and barrells of my rg250 "special fairingless type thingy" (frame is away being powder coated so i wanted to refresh the engine) to find that my 1mm oversize pistons have very small chunks missing around the pin that holds the rings in the right place. the barrels have matching scores too, so i spoke to a few people who seemed to think suzuki only made up to 1mm oversize, does any body know any different or am i in need of another set of barrells and pistons???? any help would be greatly appreciated, ow its a mk3 aswell
cheers

Try also

In Rochdale, I doubt the quality is too great (thats just how pattern parts are these days...Chinese tat probably), but with good oil should last.
A 1.5mm oversize should give you 261.2cc....might be a noticable gain on power and torque? Stick with the 1.5mm oversize so you have a chance of a future rebore. Any local engine builder/bike dealer should be able to sort this out, however Stan can do a bit of port work for you to try get a bit of a mid range boost....

£100 for stage one tune, £200 for stage two, and charges £25 per pot for rebore.....all plus VAT, something to consider? _________________ Breathing new life into an old Gamma!

Rare thing....man with a conscience!! Simple rebore and small ends to freshen it up, or see if you can find decent used barrels and pistons for less money (unlikely ). _________________ Breathing new life into an old Gamma!

Hi
Suspect someone like PJ Engineering could make and insert a new cast iron liner so that you could use standard size pistons.
All the best
