I know exactly what you mean, it’s an amazing place, but too often tragic.
This year will be different for a few reasons, first time in a while we won’t have Guy Martin, the Suter 500 running, and Honda with their super-exotic RC213V. It will be great to see how the “Superbikes” do against their Moto-GP (derived) cousins.
Coverage on ITV4 is usually good too. _________________ Light is right.

Hi Arlurt,
we're going to the Classic TT Aug/Sept and my mount of choice will be my AR125.
Really looking forward to it. _________________ Kindest regards

I'll be at the classic too, my first time there.
The plan is to go on the KH250, but I've made so little progress recently I'm getting nervous about that. Family stuff getting in the way. _________________ Light is right. |

Hi Arlurt,
you'll make it on the KH for sure.
My first time for the classic but not the TT.
We're staying near Peel so we must ensure we meet up for a pint. _________________ Kindest regards

The guys from Suter are doing OK, a few problems but it's their first time on the island.
Here's a clip of what they're about:

Great pictures of the bike but my Swiss / French isn't up to all of the interviews! _________________ Light is right. |

Even building a stroker of this type is a feat but entering the TT is a massive effort ... they are doing a great job. Mick Grant is very impressed with the bikes engineering. MG reckoned the Roberts GP stroker was the best bike he had ever ridden .... top man _________________ If it don't ring-a-ding-ding it ain't worth a thing |

I was at ballercraine when it first came round it sent shivers up my spine.
and that smell of 2 stroke was awesome.
the rcv was a evil screaming sound that was also awesome to ear. |

The following message was posted by Suter on FB yesterday:
"34th place out of 73 riders, starting from the 56th grid position. Best lap time of 121.5mph (195.5km/h) with an average of 117.55mph (189.2km/h). Top speed during race according to our data recording: 183.7mph (295.5km/h).
5 laps accomplished out of 6, stopped because of red flag."
Looks like they were safely on target for a finish, and climbing well up from their start position. I saw the Suter in practice from the Hawthorn, and in racing from Harold's Garden at Gorse Lea, and at Churchtown (Conkertrees). I'd forgotten how fantastic a 500 two-stroke sounds, and there's no mistaking that smell!
I hope they're back next year to try again, the event must have raised their profile, but at quite a cost. _________________ Light is right. |

All things considered a strong showing ... bearing in mind the Padgett Yam at last years Classic had maybe 20 years of major factory development behind it from the early TZ days onwards ... _________________ If it don't ring-a-ding-ding it ain't worth a thing |
