Yes its a nice clean colour scheme. The pearl white is going be a tough one to match but I know people in the paint world. |

UPDATE!!
I got a used CDI from the UK through Ebay which turned up today.
SO when I got home from work I pulled out the bike, pulled off the tank and plugged in the new CDI. Checked the spark at the plug (All good). Put her back together and gave her a couple of kicks and she fired up.
I let her warm up and she kept running past the five minutes where she used to lose spark.
It was getting late but I pushed on. Put my helmet on and went for my first proper run around the block on the bike!
I was very impressed with the speed of this little bike considering I'm used to riding a 1000cc V twin!
Problem fixed and now for a tidy up for registration. |

Hey all hope you are all doing ok?
I just got back my re-chromed fork legs which look nice and new again. The company had to grind away 12 thou to get back the the steel with no rust which was pretty good. With that much new chrome there will be little chance of these legs rusting through again.
Anyway I want to put the forks back together but the manual shows an old measure of oil grade 5W20. Does anyone know what the modern equivalent is?
Once this is done its onto re-painting the gold swing arm!

Today I finally got the AR registered for the road. It took some work but we finally got there!
I had to get an engineers report to show the bike was compliant with local standards where only one item that was a concern pertaining to the written statement on the front brake reservoir cap. A trip to the breakers and problem was solved.
I just took her out and yes the little AR's go very well. All the locals were looking in amazement to the sound of the 2 stroke engine. As you all know the bike had been sitting around so there was lots of oil blowing from the exhaust due to the accumulation. It took about half hour of riding to get rid of the smoke now the exhaust is looking very clean and the engine revs a lot easier.
I will catch you all later as I'm heading out for another ride.
