Seeing as we are going very different - different strokes
A diesel two stroke tractor
Field Marshal - UK manufactured single cylinder, a local man owns it and shows it regularly powering a threshing machine. |

Going Different ... I've a picture of a Triumph twin converted to supercharged two stroke in the 60's. I'll post it up. _________________ If it don't ring-a-ding-ding it ain't worth a thing |

Big cupboard in the garage, full of all those random bits of DIY crap you accumulate over time. Couple of the shelves had collapsed, so today was the day I decided to deal with it. Everything has to come out of the cupboard, so all of the motorbikes have to be moved outside so I've got space to work. And if they're just sat there on the drive, I might as well see if they all still run, right?
Less successful than I expected. The LC, RK and NSR fired up and ticked over OK, the SDR, Hornet, RB and KR weren't interested. I didn't put a lot of effort in to be honest, it was more important to put the garage back together before it started raining. Hopefully try again in a couple of days. |

Preparing my Kr1 fairings for a re-spray.
Two & a half hours in & just about finished sanding down the mudguard! And now I have spotted 3 new cracks in it, grrrrr. |

It's going to be a long day! |

Well that was a bundle of fun.....
No wonder the pro painters charge what they do.
Anyhow, got my right ear 'stuck' back on, all the panels are now ready for primer & then the real preparation begins.

What primer are you going to use, just about finished doing a tailpiece today, rubbed down to the plastic on most of it, and now need a suitable primer, plastic/flexible not sure?
Does take ages to get a good finish, can understand £1000+ for some jobs. |

Not sure at the mo SP. I was going to ask the same thing on here.
I don't have an air fed mask so 2k is out of the question & all the other forums I've looked at give differing advice.
I've used cellulose in the past with reasonable results so may just stick to that, unless anyone on here knows better? |

Re paint, I have successfully used 2K paint in a rattle can from a local paint specialist that can match any colour. There is a lacquer too but I obtained really nice results without ... and its ethanol petrol resistant too. _________________ If it don't ring-a-ding-ding it ain't worth a thing |

Which is another important factor. I've use petrol resistant lacquer over cellulose before, with differing success.
Personally I wouldn't use Halfords lacquer ever again |
