I’m trying to find out how to tell the difference between the restricted system and the unrestricted system, are there any identifying numbers or letters that set them apart ?
Any help would be great! |

There are some AR125 experts on here ...
Once they read your post they will reply with a answer...

Hi Matt
In the past I've compared closely the restricted and unrestricted standard kawasaki exhausts and they are identical. The mk1 restricted exhaust has a different baffle that is removable and can be switched for unrestricted type. The mk2 exhaust end can baffle cannot be changed in the same way so a different end can is probably the easiest way to derestrict it.
Many just change the whole exhaust to derestrict and save weight too. Getting harder to find alternative new exhausts nowadays though. Gianelli is still available from a supplier in Europe. Otherwise Mick Abbey makes a cracking exhaust. Higgspeed Blackpool have made one recently too. _________________ We are where we are... |

Cheers Top-shaggy
I picked up a standard mk2 exhaust from the Middle East so it should be the unrestricted version, I think the restricted versions were only sold in the UK ? |

Sounds good. The AR125s where restricted in other countries not just UK such as Sweden. I agree that the exhaust from middle east should be unrestricted.. let me know the numbers stamped on the silencer and I will compare to mine and let you know _________________ We are where we are... |
