Well, If it was in the uk, it would be worth about £1200, so it would need to be about £500 less to cover the shipping.
Seeing that he wants £4500, it looks doubtful. |

Just saw you wanted a 3xv barrel. I have a complete one with key if you want it, I will include rear seat lock too. £25 if you want it. |

Other than the fact its the price of 2 good 3xv's its probably legit.
There was no reason to show the photo of the frame number which shows he has nothing to hide, but it has been doctored, it should begin with 3xv.
In some countries you cant just import a Japan only model, the laws can be very stringent. The bike will have had its frame number altered to match an existing registration document, its a common practice in many countries.
That said, the bike could have been stolen in the first place and exported, the current owner probably wouldnt know if it had.
Yer pays your money, you takes your chance.......... |

It may well be the current seller isn't responsible for it, but the bike certainly isn't legit if the frame number has been altered. |

It also looks like it has done every one of those 8777km on the clock in the deepest darkest saltiest points of a british winter, and has never been washed. I wouldn't give more than £250 for it as it looks in worse shape than that NS. |

I agree with both of you, but I would go to £350.00 its rough as a bottom hole
I would want to see '3xv' on the frame number if I was buying it. |

I did put £350 but thought I was being too generous. But £250 for a parts bike as the frame number wouldn't matter as it can be binned. |

I have a better idea, lets get him to strip it and sell the good parts on ebay, that way we only have to buy what we want at a price we are happy with
2 people tried selling me cars last year, cars they didnt even own!!!!!
It was a scam where they sold you the car cheap and shipped it from overseas. You paid through ebay/paypal email which was spoof. The funds went straight into their account and you get no car!!!!
Moral, dont trust something you cant see!!!!
Its a common scam apparently but the police cant do a thing cause the crime is being commited outside the UK, what a COP out, get it?
I bet they would do something about it if they were scammed!!! |

Strangely, the pic of the chassis number has been removed from the Ebay add, hmmmmmmmmmmmm, also the 'number' sticker would suggest the frame is off a limited run of 3xv, I dont think the 'R' model was ever in limited production numbers, only SP and SPR. |
