Hi,
New boy on this forum.
Based in Hull, East Yorkshire. Currently have a TDR 250 which is doing a really good impression of a rolling chassis and a couple of cardboard boxes.
Garage is being readied for action, so hopefully will be back on the road when the weather warms up a bit.
Yes, I am a fair weather biker, sorry
Would be interested to hear from any local 2 stroke owners or about any local rideouts.

I will take some piccies before I commence any work on the bike, it might help to remind me why I started this instead of just riding the thing
Can't promise it will turn out as pretty as some on here, but I will do my best not to let the side down!!

Hi James
Good to know there is more than just me addicted to two stroke in the area, all the guys I currently know are obsessed with the latest most powerful superbike.
They'll come to their senses one of these days as I did.
Starting bike at weekend hopefully so will be ready in 6-8 weeks plus the obvious extension for work I haven't been clever enough to foresee.
Cheers

Hi Jim. I'm near you, with a 3MA. Had a TDR myself back when they were new. Looking forward to seeing yours come back together.
There was a great local meet at the Marina with a dozen or more Yam 2-strokes. Just looked for a photo and am appalled to discover that it was way back in Sep 2003 !

I remember the meet in the picture if it was organised through the rdlc forum, i popped along to have a look as I had a 350 lc in the garage at the time, unfortunately the meet was about a fortnight prior to my bike running so I was in the car.
Would be good if we could organise a local meet in the summer if everyones bikes are running.
Cheers

Yeah, it was arranged by someone on the Yamaha RD Forum. There was talk of making it a semi-regular thing but it's never happened as far as I know. Think we should resurrect it this summer.
By the way, I didn't have a Yamaha at the time so took this :

I think the idea should definately be tried again, I'm not aware of any other 2t around here.
Incidentally, I still see Kev(person to right of photo) occasionally, he no longer has the Roberts LC but is just finishing a powervalve project so he will be up for a meet. I also regularly see the guy who is centre left at the back, he is a superbike boy but always toying with the idea of something more interesting.
Couple of days of good weather and seeing those photos makes me want to get cracking on the bike now.
Fantastic KR by the way, not many around, must be nice to have something that bit different to the norm.
Cheers
