Some interesting things there, the cut down tail unit (and side panels) I have seen on Jap market specials, and looks nice, the top yoke is interesting.....no visible centre fixing?? Is it a 2 piece yoke??
Its gone dead quiet on this forum aint it?? Where's everyone gone??? _________________ Breathing new life into an old Gamma!

yeah seems like thats the way forward! by the way i was pretty stunned by the attention to detail your rebuild contains! all the original nuts and bolts! even the right colour for the casings! thats really going to stand out when its finished! _________________ PuRE-STRokER |

I got hold of a NOS power valve cap and took it to my local paint shop, who were really helpful. They even matched the satin/semi gloss finish. The colour is ever so slightly blue compared to the original, but no-one wud ever know......I used 2 pack paint coz its pretty tuff stuff and with a 2 pack etch primer, wont chip off when screws are tightened up....problems I'd had with rattle can stuff. _________________ Breathing new life into an old Gamma!

Coming together Aden, though I'm still not sure about the light blue engine. Got to say it looks very clean and minamalist though!
You going single disk and how upright do those bars put you?
[actually just browsed your album and answered the second half myself...like the revolutionary "air-yoke" in the earlier front-on pics!!] |

yeah that was the idea i wanted to build one that was like super light! i mean like even lighter than original! they put you very upright but it handles very well with them on! which is good because the yoke cost me 200 quid! its going for a daytime only mot which means no lights whatsoever! which in turn means no switchgears or wiring loom! i was pretty shocked at just how blue it really was but it kinda grows on you! _________________ PuRE-STRokER |
