Yes the manual is not that clear. Where the cables go into the power valve it is marked no.1 and no.2 on the body. Its marked no.1 and no.2 at the actuator motor too. There's also no.3 and 4 for use on a RG500. Connect no.1s to each other and same with no.2s. My cables cross too when they are connected up. The valve has to be set in a certain position too before you put the cover on. I think it has to be set in the position it would be at below about 7000rpm.
I used a little silicon spray on the carb/airbox rubbers. It also helps if you can warm em up first when fitting or removing the carbs. Make sure the airbox is loose too and the battery holder pulled out... |

Test fitted the random collection of fairing panels I've acquired during the rebuild!! All fits well enough, despite not being able to get a straight mounting bracket, and it being a right pain to sort.....the top fairing never fitted right anyway, and mounting the clocks and mirrors on it too means that asjusting one part means another part is no longer aligned... they always cracked around the mirrors....I've tried to improve the fit of this, and I hope I've succeeded as I now have a NOS top fairing (and belly pan) coming from Japan....I already have a new tail unit, and one middle panel. Also have new frame cover panels but these are the wrong color.....
I do need the bar that runs below the radiator and joins the fairing middle panels to each other, can anyone help?? _________________ Breathing new life into an old Gamma!

Hello,
Great job done so far.
Have to start on my Mk3 rebuilt and restoration.
But i still havent all the new bits for it.
You say that you have new framecover panels in the wrong color.
I need the red/black with white stripe on it (47720-40A00-85K) and (47620-40A00-85K)
And i have a new 47110-40A10-7TG that i am planning to repaint in the red black sceme.
Maybe its the one you need??

Yes, Erik, 7TG are the panels I need, however, my new covers are Japanese market, and I'm not sure of the part numbers, without checking the bags they are in. Mine are Marble Red, with a Metallic Grey stripe painted on, not a decal. I have some after market decals to sort my panels out when repainted. SUNRISE GRAPHICS or REPRODUCTION DECALS may be able to supply ur decals, failing that there are THESE on Ebay
Thank you for the offer.

Hello Gary,
I know wich one youy mean.
I have a new bellypan in the red /gray color.
I have original new "250" decals and the white striping for the panels.
Give Crooks Suzuki a call i bought the 7TG side panel from them.
Thought they had more in stock.

Only once
Bought a tailcover for my Mk1 and Moriwaki-man helped to place the bid.
And asked him tobuy the cover aswell.
Hope it works out because he's on his way to Motegi for the Moto GP and will be away for 3 days.
Thanks very much for letting me know about the cover
Been searching for one for a long time

Maybe someone knows....
I bought a new crankcase assy from the UK a few weeks ago.
It was new but badly stored
Some off the paint has come off
Not a big problem will have the repainted
The seller didn't know wich RG model the crankcases are for.
On the cases is 167 so i thought it must be for the Mk1 or Mk 2
The numbers in the parts catalogue are 11300-16702 and 11300-16703
When i checked the cases on my Mk3 there is also 167 on....
But in the partsbook its a totaly different number 11300-40810
Does anyone know what the difference is between the cases or are they the same?
Thanks
Regards Erik |

I'm pretty sure that the Mk l & ll were BLACK, and the Mk lll GREY, I think I saw the ones you bought, and they were grey? The Part number I have for Mklll is 11301-40810. The cases are made as a pair, and its not recomended to mix and match halves as they are machined while bolted together.
I may be able to supply the paint code I used if that helps. It was a really close match to some NOS parts I had. _________________ Breathing new life into an old Gamma!
