Hello everyone. I'm looking for a RG500 to relive my youth!!
Preferably a later model, standard, running and not too much work reqd.
I know needle and haystack and rare as rocking horse s**t spring to mind but this seems to be a good forum so I thought a good place to start.
I'm based in the southeast but can travel. Best price paid for a good standard machine. Send me a pm if you are thinking of selling.

Thanks

Have a look on ebay!! A guy has two jap import Walter Wolf models on for between 12-14K !! what.... One sold recently in Ilkley for 8k and I thought he would have had no chance! but he sold it!
Good luck with your search - think the days of reasonable money RG500's are long gone sadly, would love one myself.
Might be a long search but you could find one depends how much work it needs or how much work you want to do! A restoration may be a good option....
Hope you find one, Rob.

going way back to 1989, just before i bought my kr-1, i went to motorcycle city in bedfont ( now no longer there! ) and saw a line ( at least ten bikes ) of rg500's in fantastic skoal bandit racing replica colours, i always wondered what happened to these bikes 'cos i've never seen one since, they would be worth a fortune now

found this on the interweb, it was bought in america a shipped to the uk, apparently the comments say that the famous dream machine paint company sprayed the bikes for suzuki gb and even numbered them.

I've also heard that Dream Machine painted all RGV250 bikes in the Lucky Strike colours, so I suppose a Lucky Strike respray by them now is just the same as an original bike?

Hi everyone,prices have gone silly on big RGs.I bought a RG500 IN 2001 for 2k,and a RG400 for 1400 quid in O2.
That same bike shop in Ilkley , is selling my old NS400R Rothmans for 5k,i paid 1500 quid for that in 2001 (Still got the bill of sale).
Is it just me or is that Walther Wolf RG500, on EBAY a tinge of pink due to sun exposure???.Think the seller has been out in the sun too long, delusional at those prices Shocked .Cheers Jim

The WW decals discolor in Japan fast i think.
Been buying WW parts for some time now and its difficult to find parts that have not faded.

Found a good looking RG250 WW set though Very Happy Very Happy
With big thanks to the great help of Moriwaki-Man

Will get there in the end
The WW is starting to look like a decent bike now.

I think that PS are a bit off the mark with their RG500 price guide.
Maybe 2 years ago but not now.
