Picked this up on Friday. Won it on Ebay last week, showed the pictures to Mrs.StrokerBoy and she nabbed it for herself. I did manage a quick hoon round the block on it though.
Bit tatty cosmetically but it's had lots spent on it mechanically. It's been the daily transport of a 16-year-old kid, hence the L-plates ! NSR50 Mk.II, 50cc watercooled single, 6 gears, discs both ends, goes pretty well.

Cute little toy. Only time I've ever seen one was new in a dealership in Pietermartizburg.
How does the engine perform? Nothing 'till 7 grand and then all over by 9k? _________________ Alastair

Too early to say. Seller lent me his lid for a quick run up the road but I wasn't really paying attention. Speed warning light came on (50kph) but I didn't have the space to play. It didn't seem to need lots of revs - very short-geared. More soon. |

Started collecting spare bodywork a while ago. Got the fairing sides from two different UK breakers, top fairing and seat unit from Jersey, tank and front mudguard from Japan and a new screen from the USA.
I wanted to do it in Rothmans colours but wife is a Rossi fan so my mate painted it in yellow/white/blue/black and I got ImageWorks to make me a set of scaled-down Nastro Azzurro decals.
Stripped and repainted the exhaust, fitted some new bar-ends and a small numberplate, and here it is :

All the bikes came out of the garage over the weekend and were fired up. Including the two Gags. Took 'em out onto the local lanes then back through town. Worth it just to see everyone's reaction. Gotta admit I prefer riding the NSR to the RB...
