What do you call mint??
100% original in original colors with no damage to the fairing.
Then it could raise some good money.
The fairing parts are very difficult to find new.
Most off the used parts are cracked.
The fairing brackets are allmost allways bent.
And no longer available new.
I bought several used sets but all bent......
Found a new one after searching for years.
If you are going to restore one.
Just do it because you like the model
You won't see your money back........
I have been working on a couple of RG 250's for some years now.
It has cost me a big fortune on genuine parts.
And still not ready.
Had to get a lot of parts from Japan and thats not cheap eather
But i love the RG's and i think its the best rideable 250 cc two stroke Suzuki ever made.

hi eric , i have started putting bike back together
going to partially restore it , all steel work is straight just where the indicator on one side was a bit bent down so careful adjustment got it back , had the steel carefully shot blasted and asked for paint but got plastic coated instead ,wont be going back there in a hurry
pipes also got blasted , clean no dents just a few small pit marks , cans in good alu but some rust under and its spot weld attatched(any suggestions )??
the bike runs bit not driven yet , the brakes are sticking and pads are well past safe
39k on the clock , looked in at the pistons and barrels and they look good with little brown or scratching on pistons and bores look fine
have an rd 350 f2 ypvs i can purchase for 1000 euro but is that a hard transplant ?
i intend riding it and using 250 for a while and if i like the bike i might ypvs it , i had a 88 f2 350 about 10 years ago good power but it spat me off in a tank slapper , my last 2 stroke
so i need a stroker , back to my childhood |

Thats great
You hit the jackpot
Very rare find the MK4 running gear and you have it complete
No missing brackets etc.
The ss Microns are also perfect.
Never seen a set for sale
You can make a very nice RG with all the bits you have now.
The brakes on the MK4 front are a lot better than the MK3 ones.
And the MK3 ones are good
Could you post some pics?

You are right about the front end.
bigger diameter no anti dive units bigger discs and no air valve.
I have a MK 4 parts catalogue
If you need any numbers or need to know the different ones from the MK3 let me know
Its in Japanese though......
