Hi guys,

Bit of advice for the jetting of a tzr250 3ma5. I'm putting race pipes on, think they are sugo, but keeping the air box standard, with trumpets left in, and standard air filter. Anyone has an idea of what I should jet the carbs up to.
Cheers Russ Very Happy

I think it's just a couple of sizes up on main jet, just to be safe, problems seem to occur when the snorkels are either cut or removed. Some might just suggest leaving as is.

Do you know what jets are in there now?? from memory some bikes were way 'underjetted' as standard, but can't remember why or which market the bike was intended for (not a lot of help then Smile)

Tim might be able to help more on the subject

As my 3MA is still a pile of gently-smoking shrapnel, I shall avoid offering any jetting advice for now...

Try asking the 3ma boys on the new(new, new, new) TZR forum http://www.pure2strokespirit.net/forums/. There are loads of 3ma modders with a legion of holed pistons between them.

I am a 3XV fella but I remember seeing that you overjet loads and then plug chop down the sizes. I also think I have read that one cylinder runs hotter so most people go for a size bigger on the right (or is it left).

Anywise, check the forum. It also has the old-old-old and old-old TZR forums backups linked in read only mode.

So the old site is back again, great news, well in another name, you don't know what happened to my tzr.com by any chance, the person I need to speak to is Lewis from the old tzr250. Com site, I also have a 3xv, wish the 3ma was as easy as them, the 3 ma can be a real problem child. Very Happy

Ash ran the tzr250.com site. He moved jobs up to deepest darkest Northern WA and what with the hackers and the spammers he didn't have time to sort it all out.

Skip ran the mytzr.com site after that, unfortunately he passed away which was a great loss as he was a top bloke. RIP skip.

There are 89 members registered on the new site, Louis is one of them. He might be yer man or yer man might have a new handle.

Sign up, say hi, and enjoy, well until, as Top-Shaggy said,
