the bottom end on the bike is actually in good con thankfully
i was thinking of just getting that kit, but it seemed costly.
i can weld anything as long as its not aluminum too. most things made from steel or even plastics is fixable in some way. with the resources i have at hand i am confident i could fix it be honest but i would like to give you some cash for it or at least offer my services
anyway do messages work on this site? we can swap contacts? |
No problem, I will post a few pictures later and if you still want it then send me your contact details on a PM and I will send it to you ok. Don't want anything for it - happy if you can make use of it to get the bike running _________________ We are where we are... |

Here you go TNG, sorry they not too clear but its getting dark in the shed now and I only had the phone camera..
The dark pictures and dirt / corrosion make it look worse than it is.
The barrel has some slight scores to the lower end of the cylinder below the exhaust port and no marks above. The bore does not look like it has ever been bored out and it has not been tuned. Checking the size of the exhaust port this is a standard AR B model cylinder.
One of the external stud holes has metal broken away at the top but still has approx 10mm thread left on the hole. These holes carry the exhaust studs.
Like I said in the earlier post, if I was going to use this then I would rebore say +1mm and CI weld the top of the exhaust bolt hole a little to strengthen it. Then give it a good clean and paint etc.
Let me know if you want it and I will send it to you free gratis

looks great!
as far as the welding is concerned i would just drill out the hole to 11.5-12mm then weld it all up then re drill and tap.. or something.. re bore would probs go ahead too.
at least let me send you a tenna for postage?
AH! this is great i got such a smile right now.
i will drop you a pm with details? _________________ Current bikes
