Hi guys i want to fit a wider rear wheel to my mk2 rg250,ive seen it done before but it was a long time ago,
I think it should be a vj21 wheel but how to go about it??
Keep standard swingarm and spindle and make sleeves and spacers ??
Machine standard swingarm to accept vj21 spindle??
Use vj21 swingarm,spindle,shock etc??
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance |

fitting wider wheels is a comon mod for many bikes . if your keeping the standard swinger then dont go up to big on the rear or things wont line uop . remember once you have fitted the rear wheel the front sprocket must line up with the front sprocket and the wider the rear the biger the ofset front you wil need.
The most comon way to do them is to masheen the sprocket carrier down and make a bush for the other side to fit them in. you will all so need to remove alloy from the caliper bracket as well on most bikes.
I have VJ21 running gear on my 31K ypvs they are not to wide and will fit in your G250 without to much trouble .
NKracing could do the job for you infact if you dont think you can do it . _________________ www.rdlccrazy.co.uk. Home of The Onr Stop LC Shop |
