I used to have one of them - a white lime green one. It was a J reg and I used it as my office travelling around building sites in 1983/4. Sitting having a cup T at the site to do my paperwork using the cooker etc was taken for granted at the time. The roof lifted up and the orange brown striped material cloaked one side and the ends..

It was 1600cc and I thrashed the living day lights out of it..
15mph in first, 30 in second, 50 in third and in top it would do 75 downhill with the wind behind you and the doors banging, pans swinging in the back..

Once was out in the snow at Ireland colliery and it started snowing... Trying to drive the thing on country lanes in the snow has to be one of the most scary things I ever done!

Was it comfortable? No
Was it fast? No definitely not
Was it economical? No
Was it safe on modern roads? No

Would I like to turn back the clock and still have it?
OH YES INDEED !!!

Thanks for posting that, made me smile... Made me want one again..
Oh um
Rolling Eyes Laughing

I've always had vans but the one I really want (more for a laugh or to advertise my business) is the Citroen acadiane (to go with my rusty C15 Twisted Evil ).
